However, to his surprise, he was denied entry, with security personnel informing him that the DM was not available at the residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">Sources close to Pradyot stated that he has been trying to reach DM Chakma for the past one month, but the latter has neither responded to phone calls nor replied to messages. \u201cI just wanted to meet the DM regarding the issue in Ompi and others,\u201d Pradyot was heard saying, visibly upset over the perceived snub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">According to the DM\u2019s Personal Security Officer (PSO), the District Magistrate had \u201cjust left the residence\u201d around the time of Pradyot\u2019s arrival. However, Tipra Motha leaders and supporters suspect a deliberate avoidance. They have termed the incident as an \u201cinsult to the Bubagra\u201d (a respectful term used for the royal head in the Indigenous community), expressing anger and disappointment over what they called \u201cadministrative arrogance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">Tipra Motha party members have also criticized the behavior, stating that such treatment of a community leader with mass support is unacceptable.
