The post, which went viral on social media on Friday, sparked controversy across the subdivision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asad Mia, a resident of Ward No. 2 of Moinpur under Nurpur Panchayat, reportedly made the post on Friday. Following the online uproar, a formal written complaint was lodged against him by the Youth Congress at West Agartala Police Station. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Late Saturday night, the Kailasahar Police arrested Mia from his residence. He is currently in police custody. Speaking to the media, Officer-in-Charge of Kailasahar Police Station, Sukanta Sen Choudhury, stated that legal action will be taken against the accused. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also confirmed that the controversial post has been deleted from Mia\u2019s Facebook account. In a brief statement to the press, Asad Mia admitted that his post was inappropriate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He claimed to have deleted it immediately after posting, but alleged that someone took a screenshot and circulated it online.
