Meghalaya, 09 May 2025: <\/strong>Bringing national recognition to grassroots healthcare efforts, four sub-health centres in Meghalaya have been awarded the prestigious \u201cQuality Certified\u201d tag under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS). This achievement, granted by the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), <\/a><\/strong>highlights the state’s commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services even in remote and rural areas.The certified facilities\u2014AAM SHC Bolchugre and AAM SHC Waram Songma in West Garo Hills, AAM SHC Phlangdiloin in South West Khasi Hills, and AAM SHC Umsong in Ri-Bhoi\u2014were assessed between April 4 and April 15, 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each centre underwent a rigorous national-level external evaluation and successfully met all the criteria across seven mandatory service packages. Their overall scores ranged from 83.53% to 92.73%, qualifying them for the coveted certification.This milestone reflects the relentless efforts of healthcare teams, including Medical Officers, Mid-Level Health Providers (MLHPs), Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs), and other staff, who have consistently worked to maintain and improve healthcare quality in underserved areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their dedication to patient care, infection control, service delivery, and overall infrastructure has helped Meghalaya strengthen its rural health systems.In a letter addressed to the Mission Director of Meghalaya\u2019s Health & Family Welfare Department, NHSRC Advisor J N Srivastava praised the state’s initiative and urged the certified facilities to continue focusing on recommended areas of improvement. These centres will now work with the State Quality Assurance Unit to ensure sustained progress through regular surveillance audits and performance reviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebrating the achievement, the National Health Mission (NHM), Government of Meghalaya, wrote on social media: \u201cThis achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our healthcare teams in delivering high-quality, patient-centric services to the people of Meghalaya.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
