Speaking at a session titled <strong>\u201cStudios of the Future: Putting India on the World Studio Map\u201d<\/strong>, Khan acknowledged the significant support extended by the current government toward the development of Indian cinema. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe government is doing historic work in supporting our film industry,\u201d he said. However, Khan pointed to the declining number of cinema screens nationwide as a major concern. \u201cWe need more cinema halls. It&#8217;s crucial for the future of theatrical releases and to keep cinema accessible to audiences across regions,\u201d he asserted. He also highlighted the importance of better synergy between traditional cinemas and digital platforms. <strong>\u201cThere needs to be a deeper collaboration between theatres and OTT platforms. Both have a role in taking Indian storytelling global,\u201d<\/strong> Khan remarked.
