{"id":10768,"date":"2025-04-29T12:54:58","date_gmt":"2025-04-29T12:54:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=10768"},"modified":"2025-04-29T12:54:58","modified_gmt":"2025-04-29T12:54:58","slug":"tripura-signs-mou-with-regional-medical-research-centre-to-boost-maternal-and-child-health","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2025\/04\/29\/tripura-signs-mou-with-regional-medical-research-centre-to-boost-maternal-and-child-health\/","title":{"rendered":"Tripura Signs MoU with Regional Medical Research Centre to Boost Maternal and Child Health"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Agartala, April 29, 2025:<\/strong> In a major step toward improving public health for women and children in Tripura, the National Health Mission, the Department of Health and Family Welfare, and the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Dibrugarh, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today at Pragya Bhavan on 28 April. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The signing ceremony was attended by Kiran Gitte, Secretary of the Department of Health and Family Welfare; Professor (Dr.) Tapan Majumdar, Director of Health Services; Prashant Badal Negi, Mission Director of the National Health Mission; Dr. Anjan Das, Director of Family Planning and Disease Prevention; Dr. Subarna Roy, Director of RMRC; and Dr. Sanjay Rudrapal, Programme Officer of the National Health Mission, among others. Tripura has made significant progress in healthcare in recent years. The infant mortality rate in the state stands at 18 per 1,000 live births, compared to the national average of 28. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, over 98% of women in Tripura now give birth at health institutions.
