Agartala, April 8: <\/strong>A new chapter has begun in Tripura\u2019s education sector with the announcement of six new Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) for the state. Tribal Welfare and Education Minister Bikash Debbarma made the declaration this morning upon his return from New Delhi<\/a><\/strong>, while addressing reporters at the Agartala Airport. \u201cTripura is on the verge of a new dawn,\u201d the Minister said with conviction, following a high-level meeting with TWD Ministry Secretary Vibhur Nair in the national capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He confirmed that approval for the six EMRS institutions had been secured during the discussions. \u201cThese schools will not merely spread the light of education,<\/em><\/strong>\u201d Debbarma stated, \u201cthey will ignite leadership, confidence, and creativity among the tribal children of our state.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>Describing education as the backbone of a nation, the Minister emphasized that this decision aims to strengthen that backbone. \u201cEducation is not just about textbooks it\u2019s about empowering the next generation,\u201d he said. The proposed EMRS institutions are expected to serve as beacons of hope for students in remote and underserved tribal regions of Tripura. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Built with modern infrastructure, residential facilities, and a holistic learning environment, the schools will play a key role in ensuring inclusive and quality education. \u201cThis initiative is not just a dream,\u201d<\/em><\/strong> the Minister added, \u201cTripura is now actively moving toward making that dream a reality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this project, we aim to provide every child in the state with the opportunities they need to shape their own future.\u201d Responding to questions from the media, Debbarma assured that the EMRS projects will be implemented swiftly through a collaborative effort between the state and central governments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also called upon parents, teachers, and citizens to participate actively in this educational journey. Terming the announcement as more than a bureaucratic decision, the Minister said it is a bold step towards fulfilling the dreams of an entire generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
